Black vitality earrings

A pair of earrings that took more than 240 days to make. The client handed us these platinum-grey pearls with a metallic lustre and said she wanted them made into flowers. The first thing that came to mind was 'steampunk'. With bronze-coloured edging and stamens, while the petals use a touch of matte metallic finish, diamonds, pearls and metal - three extremely distinct textures - collide to create this sense of decay...
