When I took this ring apart, I happened to catch the greenish-gold gem turning into the sunlight that slipped through the window cracks. The grey spinel beside it is like distant hills in the morning mist, while the small diamonds on the ring shank are broken up like thin shards of light. You need not wait for a special day; put it on and it feels as if an invisible stamp of "little joys today" has been placed on an ordinary day, constantly reminding you that life is more than what lies immediately before you.
